Hemet, CA Probate Case Results In Client Keeping Home

DISCLAIMER: The results are specific to the facts and legal circumstances of each of the clients’ cases and should not be used to form an expectation that the same results could be obtained for other clients in similar matters without reference to the specific factual and legal circumstances of each client’s case.

We represented a the administrator of a California probate estate in the Riverside County Superior Court in Hemet (i.e. the Hemet probate court.) During the course of this case our client was sued because she allegedly stole half of the decedent’s home from the probate estate, failed to file an account, and misspent estate funds. The case was tried before Commissioner Kathleen Jacobs in the Hemet probate court. The Commissioner found completely in favor of our client.

This victory was especially satisfying for our client because she had been willing to give up her executor’s fees and a substantial portion of the estate in order to keep her home. When the probate was over, our client received clear title to her home, all of her administrator’s fees, and her share of the cash held by the probate estate.
