How do I choose a California Probate Attorney for my case?

How do I choose a California Probate Attorney to represent my case?

First of all, choosing your California probate attorney wisely is vital. It can be an efficient process if you know what qualities to look for in your attorney.  You will want a lawyer who focuses their practice on probate and probate litigation; not one who only dabbles in these areas. Also, you don’t want an attorney who only dabbles in probate or assigns all the work to staff members who will never appear in court or have any direct responsibility for your case.

Litigation (noun):

Litigation is the act or process of bringing a lawsuit to enforce a particular right. This can include Will contests, Trust Litigations, and Probate Litigation.

Probate (noun):

The process of proving in court that the will of a person who has died is valid. It involves proving before a competent judicial authority that a document offered for official recognition and registration as the last will and testament of a deceased person is genuine. Not all wills must go through this in California. See our infographic to help you determine if your loved one’s estate must go through probate.
