About Sacramento County Probate Court
The Sacramento County Probate Division handles cases involving deceased people’s estates, trusts, guardianships for minors, and conservatorships for adults who can’t manage their own care or finances. Adoption cases are also processed through this division rather than a separate court. It shares a courthouse with the Family Law Division and serves a large, urban county, so it offers more online tools and self-help resources than a smaller county court might.
