Is there a way to pay for probate litigation or trust litigation if I can't afford to hire my own attorney?
I attemted to take an advance from the inheritance to help with some back taxes and just learned that the IRS filed a Federal Tax lien last year for those back taxes.
My question is this:
When the Inheritance is ready to be dispursed, How does the Lien come into effect?
Will the inheritance be taken?
Will the attorneys of the probate issue a check to the IRS or me?
Can I protect this money in any way while I continue to resolve the debt?
Any information or comments will really help.
Thank you!
Michael, California
